Our client is currently seeking a Consultant Radiologist to join the team.  The hospital is a general 260-bed public hospital and is responsible for the delivery health services to a population of 136,000.  The Hospital is a progressive hospital with regional specialities in Plastic Surgery, Rheumatology and Breast Screening.  The hospital is within easy commuting distance of New Zealand's capital city, which provides a range of cultural activities.  The city is situated 10 minutes fromthe sea, three hours from the ski fields an is surrounded by moutains providing excellent opportunities for receational and sporting pursuits.  The Radiology departmet performs approximately 48,000 procedures per annum across general radiography, fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Mammography, and CT and has been successful in obtaining accreditation through International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ).  The department boasts an excellent range of modern equipment including two ATL5000 Ultrasound machines with SonoCT, Xres, 3D and Panoramic imaging, GE Senographe DMR+ Mammography unit with stereotactic facilities, GE CT and GE Fluoroscopy units combined with four general radiography rooms and electronic tomography.  The CT is currently being upgraded to a 16 multi-slice CT.  Applications are invited for a full-time permanent position of Consultant Radiologsts with consideration being given to a part-time arrangement.  Applicants must be registered or be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and be appropriately qualified in Radiology.   TO apply for this position you must hold a primary medical qualification recognized by the New Zealand Medical Council, American Board Certification or CCST.
